We Live in Budapest
In the spring of 2008, my then 6 year old son, Sy, and I picked up and moved our lives from Toronto, Canada, back to where I was born: Budapest, Hungary. I've been walking around with my camera since we arrived here. This is a collection of some of my hundreds of street shots as I rediscover "home".

Another typical morning walk home, another typical grey late winter, should-be-spring-by-now day... there are a lot of lonely people here. lonely inside ourselves.

taken late yesterday evening on the way home. near Szari Mari tér, looking into a little hole-in-the-wall pub that is (one of many) local manifestations of the Barfly type of deal... sad, lonely people drinking round the clock. She saw me - she knew I was shooting, but she didn't seem to care.
another one of those crisp sunny mornings today. On Szent István körút at the corner of Bajcsy-Zsilinsky.
